Soy candle care & safety tips
Candle care
- To ‘train’your candle and avoid burning a hole down the centre of the wax, always allow the wax to melt all the way out to the edges before extinguishing
- To extinguish candles, use a candle snuffer or blow out gently; this will avoid the formation of unhealthy smoke
- Ensure wicks are trimmed to 6.5mm before every use
- Keep the wax free of wick trimmings
- When not in use, keep the candle covered to avoid dust build-up
Candle safety
- Always burn within sight and never leave unattended
- Keep away from children, pets and anything flammable
- Ensure that there is enough ventilation in the room
- Avoid drafty areas
- Allow the candle to cool and harden before moving or relighting
- Burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface as glass can become hot
- Never allow the candle flame to come into contact with the sides of the glass
